  • This course is designed to be the equivalent of a
    first year college chemistry course
  • Objective is to obtain a score of 3 or better on
    the AP Exam given in May
  • Score of 3 or above qualifies the student for
    college credit at most universities

  • Understand basic components of matter and how
    they create all the different forms that exist
  • Be able to apply chemical concepts to everyday
    life
  • Be able to perform mathematical calculations
    pertaining to chemistry

  • Safely utilize appropriate laboratory techniques
    in testing scientific hypothesis
