Flat Stanley told Mrs. Hodge that while he was
with her he really wanted to be a racecar driver!
How cool! Luckily, Mrs. Hodge has spent a lot
of time around racecars and was able to take Flat
Stanley to visit a very important car that her
PawPaw used to drive! Lets see what happened!

On his way to see if he could drive a racecar,
Flat Stanley saw some really big trucks. Do you
know what kind of trucks these are and what they
are used for?After Flat Stanley found out they
were log trucks used to take really big loads of
logs to a paper mill, he said, Hmm, maybe I
should try to be a logger today! Here is Flat
Stanley trying to get in the truck. Can you see
him by the door?

Flat Stanley said, Im finished being a logger,
its hard work. Can we go find the racecar now?

while he was at Mrs. Hodges house. Thats
why he wants to be a racecar driver. This
is a picture of the racecar on the track and
pictures of Mrs. Hodges PawPaw. The picture
with the trophy is from the last time he won a
race. Can you believe he was 73
years old?

he would get in to drive.

Flat Stanley was finally ready to get in the

First he had to strap himself in. Racecar
drivers need to be safe.

Flat Stanley had so much fun with the racecar.
Before he left he was so excited because he found
Mrs. Hodges name on the car. Hes pointing to
it for you.

Flat Stanley had to go visit Mrs. Hodges
Nannie Red. He wanted to see the trophies that
her PawPaw won with the racecar. There is a
whole bedroom full of trophies. WOW!

Flat Stanley had a lot of fun as a logger and a
racecar driver. He was tired after his long day,
but still had some energy left to play the guitar.
