he was not, for God took him. (Genesis 524)
2
Hebrews 115
  • By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did
not see death, "and was not found, because God
had taken him" for before he was taken he had
this testimony, that he pleased God.

3
Taken away
  • to transfer, transport, change sides (Strong).
  • Enoch was transferred, transported to the other
    side of death.
  • He did not die as people do today.
  • There was no body to be put in the grave.

4
was not found
  • Someone must have looked for him.
  • No physical body left behind.
  • No physical trace of Enoch.

5
1 Corinthians 1550
  • Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and
blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God nor
    does corruption inherit incorruption.

6
WHY DID ENOCH RECEIVE THIS REWARD?
  • Had this testimony that he walked with God.
  • Enoch was faithful to the will of God.
  • Noah walked with God.

7
Genesis 69
  • This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a
just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked
    with God

8
Genesis 622
  • Thus Noah did according to all that God
    commanded him, so he did.

9
We Can Walk With God
  • By imitating God.

10
Ephesians 51-2
  • Therefore be imitators of God as dear
children. And walk in love, as Christ also
has loved us and given Himself for us, an
offering and a sacrifice to God for a
    sweet-smelling aroma.

11
Deuteronomy 533
  • "You shall walk in all the ways which
the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may
live and that it may be well with you, and that
you may prolong your days in the land which you
    shall possess.

12
We Can Walk With God
  • By imitating God.
  • By walking in Christ.

13
COLOSSIANS 26-7
  • As you have therefore received Christ Jesus
the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built
up in Him and established in the faith, as you
have been taught, abounding in it with
    thanksgiving.

14
received
  • to receive near, that is, associate with oneself
(in any familiar or intimate act or relation)
    (Strong).

15
walk in Him
  • Talking of how we live.
  • Includes every area of life.
  • Follow His example.

16
John 1315
  • "For I have given you an example, that you should
do as I have done to you.

17
1 Peter 221
  • For to this you were called, because Christ also
suffered for us, leaving us an example, that
    you should follow His steps
  • Example To write under a copy for imitation.

18
1 John 26
  • He who says he abides in Him ought himself also
to walk just as He walked.

19
HOW DO WE KNOWWE ARE WALKING WITH GOD?
  • All things become new.

20
2 Corinthians 517
  • Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a
new creation old things have passed away
behold, all things have become new.

21
HOW DO WE KNOWWE ARE WALKING WITH GOD?
  • All things become new.
  • We walk in newness of life.

22
Romans 61-4
  • What shall we say then? Shall we continue in
sin that grace may abound? Certainly
not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer
in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as
were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized
into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him
through baptism into death, that just as Christ
was raised from the dead by the glory of the
Father, even so we also should walk in newness of
    life.

23
HOW DO WE KNOWWE ARE WALKING WITH GOD?
  • All things become new.
  • We walk in newness of life.
  • No longer slaves of sin.

24
Romans 66-7
  • knowing this, that our old man was
crucified with Him, that the body of sin
might be done away with, that we should no longer
be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been
    freed from sin.

25
HOW DO WE KNOWWE ARE WALKING WITH GOD?
  • All things become new.
  • We walk in newness of life.
  • No longer slaves of sin.
  • We walk in the light.

26
1 John 17
  • But if we walk in the light as He is in the
light, we have fellowship with one another, and
the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us
    from all sin.

27
cleanses us from all sin
  • "isin the present tense, thus revealing that it
is a constant process, conditioned on our walking
in the light. As we thus walk the blood operates
to keep us constantly cleansed from the
defilement of sin and the condemnation which
    attends it. (Guy N. Woods).

28
HOW DO WE KNOWWE ARE WALKING WITH GOD?
  • All things become new.
  • We walk in newness of life.
  • No longer slaves of sin.
  • We walk in the light.
  • We walk circumspectly.

29
Ephesians 515
  • See then that you walk circumspectly, not as
    fools but as wise,

30
circumspectly
  • "to live carefully, deviating in no respect from
    the law of duty. (Thayer).
  • The Christian walk is to be a careful walk.

31

32
Ephesians 41-3
  • I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord,
beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with
which you were called, with all lowliness and
gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one
another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of
the Spirit in the bond of peace.

33

who have not defiled their garments and they
shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.
