  • Brainstorming is a tool used to generate a large
    number of idea from members of a group in a
    structured manner.
  • The group elects a facilitator to conduct
    session.
  • Write the topic short purpose of brainstorming
    on a board or fillip chart.
  • Members (by turn ) to suggest one IDEA at a time.
  • Note down suggestion.
  • After turn of all members, repeat another cycle.
  • A member having no fresh idea , may pass.
  • Ideas not to be evaluated at this time, but may
    be clarified if not clear.
  • The process is continued till all members pass.
  • Prioritising selecting ideas
  • Check if apparently identical ideas are really
    same or there
  • is some different angle.
  • Identify and group together related ideas.
  • Brief discussion in support of ideas ( not
    against any ideas)
  • if desired.
  • Short list for plan of action by consensus or
    voting.
