- 1870s - There was already a school in Tapa
settlement. - 1919 - Tapa Gümnaasium was formed.
- 1939 - New schoolhouse was opened.
- 1964 - Current schoolhouse was opened at 12
Pargi Street (Tapa Secondary School) - 1994 - Renamed Tapa Gümnaasium.
