4The Sweetener Industry
The facts 1.4 Billion in sales Aspartame 556
million Sugar-free 5.7 billion in sales
5Calorie Counting Disrupted?
Purdue University ResearchersBasic
findings Artificial sweeteners hinder ability to
count calories Example drinking a diet soda
reduces calorie count, but fools the body into
thinking similar food choices are lower in
calories as well. Begins early in life
The bodys natural ability to regulate food
intake and body weight may be weakened when this
natural relationship is impaired by artificial
sweeteners.
6Aspartame and Cancer
- American Cancer Society - What do the
epidemiological studies show? - Animal
StudiesThe American Cancer Society has
confirmed through study that users of artificial
sweeteners gain more weight than those who don't
use the products, further undermining the
supposed purpose for the existence of aspartame
in food. - 2005 Study - Increased lymphoma and
leukemia - Relatively low amounts
7Aspartame Toxic?
- Components are neurotoxins held by weak chemical
bonds - - Aspartic Acid, Phenylalanine, Methanol
- Break down at fairly low temperatures (86
degrees F) - - Form formic acid and formaldehyde
- Even a minute of over concentration of these
chemicals causes the brain cells to become so
over excited that they very quickly burn
themselves out and die.
8Saccharine and Cancer
1911 1972-1973 1977 2000
FDA attempts to ban Saccharine Studies raised
concern Canadian study showed bladder cancer FDA
proposed ban FDA requires warning label
9Rodent Chronic Feeding Study
- Rats and Mice fed human equivalent of saccharin
- Study shows that saccharin caused an increase in
bladder tumors in both genders
10Sucralose
- Sucralose a synthetic chemical compound
- Our bodies cant metabolize
- Sucralose trials
- -only 6 human trials
- -longest only 3 months
- At least 15 is not excreted
11Government lies?
Once upon a time, aspartame was listed by the
Pentagon as a biochemical warfare
agent.www.youngagain.com
MOST victims don't have a clue that aspartame
may be the cause of their many problems! Many
reactions to aspartame were very serious
including seizures and death. --www.aspartamekill
s.com
Many medical professionals and health activists
loudly proclaim that aspartame sweetener in diet
sodas causes symptoms that mimic, or accentuate
Parkinson's disease. sickofdoctors.com
Lying and deceit on the artificial sweetener
issue has been the FDA's Modus Operandi,

12Government Lies cont.
- Just because its on the market doesnt mean
its safe - Will Splenda still be safe in the future?
- - Not sure of long term effects
- - Example Vioxx arthritis medication
13Conclusion
Natural Sugars are the Safer Choice
