  • A very brief history ..........
  •  
  • The Academy was established during the sixties,
    as the Administrative Staff College (ASC) in
    Mumbai under the inspiration of the former Chief
    Minister of Maharashtra and Deputy Prime Minister
    of India, the Late Shri Yeshwantrao B. Chavan.
    The ASC shifted in 1984 to Pune, and was named as
    the Maharashtra Institute of Development
    Administration (MIDA). The main objective, then
    determined, was to function as the nodal state
    level training institute for development
    administration in Maharashtra. Subsequently on
    November 26th, 1990, MIDA evolved as the Academy
    for Development Administration and was named in
    honors of its founder Chief Minister.
