Weathering
Weathering is the process of breaking down rocks
into smaller pieces. The agents of weathering are
wind, air, temperature, water, ice, and plants.
This rock turned a different color because it
was oxidized or exposed to oxygen.
This rock has been cracked open by a plant that
grew through it.

Erosion
Erosion is the process of moving Earths
materials, soil, rocks, etc. The agents of
erosion are gravity, water, ice, and wind.
This river water is carrying sediments of
rocks as the sediments separate from where it
was weathered.
As you can see the wind has carried the
sediments down from the place where it was
broken down.

Deposition
Deposition is the process of sediments laid down
into horizontal layers. When layers of sediments
are compacted and cemented sedimentary rocks are
formed.
Here when the sediments were laid down it formed
layers of sediments compacted and cemented
together.
The sediments were carried by the river and were
laid down at the mouth of the river forming the
delta.
