• Rotary Adopt A School (RAAS) Program
• A district service program with the objective of
  providing a platform for Rotarians to pursue
  services to our new generations utilising our own
  professional and vocational skills and
  experience, thereby promoting the Rotary motto
  Services Above Self

• Mission and Goals for 2007/08

• Mission
• To sustain the RAAS program as a signature
  project of D3450
• To promote the service of Rotary through
  activities undertaken under the RAAS program
• To provide opportunities for Rotarians from
  different Rotary Clubs to work together, thereby
  increasing acquaintance and enjoying greater
  fellowship
• To widen the learning exposure of our new
  generations through activities carried out both
  inside and outside Hong Kong, thereby
  maintaining/increasing their competitiveness with
  their counterparts in nearby regions

• To encourage collaboration between different
  stake holders of the RAAS Program clubs,
  schools, EBD, thereby building a long-term
  relationship
• To organise programs or events beyond club level
  by leveraging on the resources and experience of
  successful programs carried out by individual
  partnerships in order to achieve a bigger impact
• To enhance Rotary Image as an international
  service organization with a strong focus on Youth
  services

• Goals for 2007-08 proposed work plan
• To set up a formal structure for RAAS Committee
  for District 3450
• To ensure continuation of existing partnerships
  in an effective manner, offering advice and
  support where necessary
• To establish at least 5 new Rotary-School
  Partnerships
• To organise specific events for participation by
  schools at large such as
• Youth Forum
• Mock Court Trial
• Vocational Development Programs

• To explore the possibility of rolling out the
  Rotary Youth Exchange programs to schools in
  Hong Kong with the support of the Education
  Bureau of Hong Kong
• To explore further expansion of our service
  programs to meet the needs of our community
• To work out a roadmap to extend RAAS Program to
  Macao Mongolia
• To publish a newspaper supplement and/or an
  Activity Book on the learning experiences of
  Rotary-School Partnerships by the end of this
  year, if resources permit
• To actively promote the RAAS to internal and
  external audience
