Congress directed TSA, in consultation with
air carriers, airport authorities, and others . .
. to develop guidelines for airport design and
construction to allow for maximum security
enhancement. 49 U.S.C. 44914. September 30,
2004 TSAs Aviation Security Advisory Committee
(ASAC) approved formation of the Airport Security
Design Guidelines Working Group (ASDG-WG) The
Working Group will formulate recommended
revisions of the Airport Security Design
Guidelines document for submission to ASAC.

- The final draft working group report must
reflect the consensus of the working group - The TSA internal team will edit the final draft
working group report to assure consistency with
TSA goals objectives - The TSA Office of Public Affairs (OPA) will
finalize the layout, graphics, design and
preparation of both the electronic hard copy
versions
