Congress directed TSA, in consultation with
air carriers, airport authorities, and others . .
. to develop guidelines for airport design and
construction to allow for maximum security
enhancement. 49 U.S.C. 44914. September 30,
2004 TSA Aviation Security Advisory Committee
(ASAC) approved formation of the Airport Security
Design Guidelines Working Group (ASDG-WG) The
Working Group will formulate recommended
revisions of the Airport Security Design
Guidelines document for submission to ASAC.
