2The national standardization body
- Initial legal framework, GO no. 39/1998 was
finalized with its approval in the Law no.
355/2002 on national standardization. - The new ASRO Statute was approved by the General
Assembly in February 2003. - The process for ASRO assessment, performed by
Ministry of Economy and Finance was deployed in
December 2003 and had a positive result, as the
Governmental Decision 985/2004 recognize ASRO as
the national standardization body.

ISO 26000 and sent them to the
secretariat. -

15-19 May 2006 - 4th meeting of the ISO TMB WG/SR held in Sydney,
29th January-2nd February 2007 - 5th meeting of the ISO TMB WG/SR held in Vienna,
5-9 November 2007 - and also to attend at the Developing Country
Workshops - Vienna 12-13 April 2006

- We translated into Romanian language the ISO
Press releases as follows - Ref. 1010/2006-05-24 Drafting progresses of
future ISO 26000 standard on social
responsibility. This translation was included in
the Standardization Magazine 2006 August issue,
pages 22-23. - Ref. 1039/2006-11-24 ISO and UN Global Compact
reinforce cooperation on social responsibility
standard - and
- Ref. 1049/2007-02-13 Future ISO 26000 standard
on social responsibility reaches positive turning
point. - These 2 translations were included in the
Standardization Magazine February issue (pages
16-17). - Ref. 1062/2007 ISO's contributions to social
responsibility and sustainable development
highlighted at Global Compact Leaders Summit.

page 24.
