Insert Clip Art
  • Click on Insert scroll down to picture.
  • Select clip art. A menu will pop up on the
    right of your screen.
  • Type the item you need a picture of in the
    Search for box and select go.
  • Scroll through the hits until you find clip art
    that you like.
  • Left click on the picture to insert it into your
    PowerPoint slide.
  • Use the handles to move it about and change the
    size to suit your space.

Insert Animated Clips
  • Search in clip art for movies.
  • Select movie and insert in your slide.
  • Adjust to the size you want.

Insert Sounds
  • Search in clip art for sounds.
  • Select sound and insert in your slide.
  • Select whether sound will start in the slide show
    automatically or at the click of the mouse
  • Adjust to the size you want.

Linking to the Internet
  • To insert a link to the webgo to web site, copy
    (Ctl-C) the URL and then paste (Ctl-V) into
    slide. Hit return and your link is live.

Insert a Video clip
  • If your video clip is stored on the Internet
    follow the same procedure as inserting a link to
    the Internet.
  • Copy the URL and paste into your PowerPoint.
  • Click on the URL during the slide show to open
    your linked video.

Linking to Video or Internet pages.
  • Creating a Power Point Show
  • If you do not want the URL to show on your slide,
    type the name of the video, and highlight text.
    Go to Insert on your toolbar and select
    hyperlink.
  • Open Browsed Pages and select the URL you want
    to link.

Tips for success.
  • Prepare your notes on notes section under each
    slide.
  • Print out the notes pages and rehearse your
    presentation.
  • Make sure your Power Point will work on the
    library presentation computers.
