Title: Remote Draught Systems
1Remote Draught Systems
- Method of storing and delivering beer from kegs
to remote towers - Beer is delivered through insulated lines under
pressure to the point of delivery - The length of line can be from 15 to over 100
feet in length - Also referred to as Long Draw Systems
- Advantages Benefits
- - Beer can be served in any size
container Versatile product - - People like cold draft beer Taste and
freshness - Profitability of draft beer vs. bottle beer High
GPM and Revenue - Challenges - Keeping beer cold in storage and at
delivery point - - Minimizing foaming, waste, pour off, lost
sales and revenue
2Conventional Systems
- Designed to maintain the temperature of beer as
it is being transported - Generally beer is stored in walk-in coolers at
36o - 45o F. - Uses supplemental refrigeration to maintain the
beer temperature in the delivery lines using
glycol coolant - Product typically delivered at the tap at 36o -
40o F - Final product quality is dependent on walk-in
temp and storage conditions - Challenges
- - Maintaining consistent temperature in walk-ins
- - Conventional system cannot sufficiently
transfer heat from beer lines to chill beer - - Excessive foamingWasted beer, wasted profits
3Chill-Pak Flash Chiller
- The heart of the system
- Patented design
- No Moving PartsSealed for life
- Easy Installation
- Designed specifically for beer
- Mount between kegs and towers
The Chill-Pak systemis the easiest way to chill
beer below thestorage temperatureof the walk-in
cooler!
4Conventional Draught System
Beer will be dispensed at the same temp as the
walk in cooler /- 1
5Chill-Pak Draught System
Beer will be dispensed at the temperature of the
Chill-Pak plus about 1 -2
6The Chill-Pak Draught System
- The CHILL-PAK DRAUGHT system is designed to chill
beer in the lines, the flash chiller, and at the
delivery point - The CHILL-PAK Draught system uses a conventional
glycol system to refrigerate the beer in the
delivery lines - The beer and glycol lines are routed through the
CHILL-PAK - The CHILL-PAK acts as a flash chiller reducing
the temperature of the beer before it reaches the
tower - This consistently cold temperature beer is
dispensed through cold draught arms and T-Towers
that feature a foam reduction system - Results Benefits
- - Clear Beer with Perfect heads Great
presentation - - Limited waste from the first draw Increased
revenue - - Consistently cold beer Satisfied customers
7The Chill-Pak Draught System
Features Advantages Benefit
s
Offers consistent temperature beer regardless of
walk-in temperature
- Satisfied customers
- Elimination of waste
- Increased revenue
The CHILL-PAK in line flash chiller
Cold draft arms and T-towers have foam
reduction system built-in
Maintains a consistent temperature at the tap
- First draw is not wasted
- Decreased foaming
- Consistent product
- at the tap
- Satisfied customers
Keeps beer chilled in delivery lines -
conventional system transports beer
Chills beer to the delivery point
Retrofit capability
Upgrade current system for far less cost than
installing a new system
- Short payback
- Improved product
- Increased revenue
8The Chill-Pak Draught System
- Chill-Pak delivers
- A series of tests were performed drawing a 32
ounce beer every two minutes to test the ability
of the system to keep up with heavy demand. - The temperature of the beer at the faucet, the
glycol and the Chill-Pak were constantly measured - The beer shows very little change in temperature.
The system is stabilized by the Chill-Pak. - The Chill-Pak keeps beer consistently cold,
reducing pour-off and waste due to foam
Beer storage temp 38-40
9The Chill-Pak Draught System
- Beer stored over 40o F. can result in a loss of
up to 20 due to waste and foam - A 20 loss is 384 ounces per keg (or 32 twelve
ounce servings) - With a Chill-Pak - At 3 per serving thats
recovered revenue of 96 per keg!
10The Chill-Pak Draught System
- Cold Draft Arms and T-Towers feature the same
cold plate technology as used in the flash
chiller. Cold beer even for the casual draw!
- T-Towers available in 3 to 12 faucet designs,
single and dual pedestal. Matching drain pans.
- Sealed for lifeno internal parts to wear out
- Both draught arm and T-Towerare protected by US
