October -Key Points

• Have more than enough to do already
• Two employees getting laid off (can train)
• New client (relationship immature)
• Import a product and customize it
• Eager, knowledgeable, experienced Project Lead
• First time your shop has done this type of work

November February Key Points

• Scope based upon the expert judgment of the
  Project Lead (8-months)
• Recruit Staff (Plan to assign newly trained
  employees)
• Agree on cost and high level requirements
• DB conversion must occur
• DBA hire delayed until March
• Project lead resigns

March- mid April Key Points

• You remain overseeing project.
• Programmer and Business Analyst have absences.
• Client subtly change some requirements.
• Find out the imported system not fully functional
  program coded with profanity text.
• Team begins working overtime.
• Your boss resigns, and you appoint a successor.

May - September

• Successor takes on oversight of project
• Realize that August isnt going to happen
• Believe client will provide more time money
• Find out about extensive scope creep
• Client is really UPSET!!
