What is ODK?

• A national leadership honor society for college
  students, faculty, staff, administrators, and
  alumni that recognizes and encourages superior
  scholarship, leadership, and character. ODK
  recognizes achievement in five areas
• Scholarship
• Athletics
• Campus/ Community Service, Social/Religious
  Activities, and Campus Government
• Journalism, Speech and the Mass Media
• Creative and Performing Arts
• ODK is about recognizing students who are not
  only academically successful but also highly
  involved

What is ODK Continued

• The purpose of the society is to recognize
  individuals who have attained a high standard of
  leadership in collegiate activities and to
  encourage them to aspire to higher achievements.
  To be tapped for ODK is among the highest honors
  that an undergraduate student at St. Lawrence can

What Does Being a Member of ODK Involve?

• The fee for lifetime membership into Omicron
  Delta Kappa is 80.
• We meet once every two weeks for about an hour
• Every member of ODK sits on a committee such as
• Community events committee
• Leadership committee
• Membership committee
• Other ad hoc committee
• Members are expected to attend all the events ODK
  puts on

• Faculty/Staff student dinner- December 4, 2008
• Late night breakfast- December 6, 2008

• Reading fair with local schools-April 18, 2009
• Moving up day and ODK tapping- April 25, 2009
