The Bepi Colombo ESA Mission

• Two Spacecraft ( one additional lander)
• Launch in 2009 2010
• Search for soil composition and Mercury magnetc
  field
• 10 instruments aborad 2 cameras and 5
  spectometers

Hermes is the Xray Spectometer, to determine
Mercurys surface composition. It analyzes X-ray
fluorescence from the planet surface, ad it is
being simulated with a Geant4 application
Mercury has an high density, so it is believed
that a large amount of Iron should be present in
the planet crust. Hermes will verify this.
