Local commissioning

• mid-july readout of the four CROCUS in a
   local configuration 
• local LDC with 1 rorc
• local trigger (generator)
• pedestal runs, calibration runs and 0-sup runs
  for all ½ chambers

• conclusion few manas died, calibration fails on
  some manus
• ? about 19 have to be replaced

Going back to surface.

• On Monday (24/09), we started to work from ACR
  integration of Station1 in ALICE DAQ
• 4 fibers/CROCUS are in our LDC (each station has
  it own LDC in CR1)
• ? be very careful with the mapping
  fiber/rorc/EquipId
• LC2 rpm delivered to R.Divia who is in charge of
  its installation (muon_trk has an user account
  on LDC, no soft. installation !)
• All software (Aliroot/mood) are available from
  ACR machine from which you login to the LDC
• ? Once more DAQ team is giving a full support and
  help.
• On Tuesday (25/09) Full readout of Station 1
• 4 CROCUS read at 580 Hz (pedestal runs) ? 540MB/s
• absolute bus patch numbering
• CTP emulator
• 300000 triggers, 1 error seen in the CDH
  (readout kept going on)
• ? No major problem, no fine tuning it just
  worked and still works

Going back to surface. and stay there !

• The good news
• parity errors rate seems negligible
• problem of higher noise with higher frequency has
  simply disappeared
• DCS (LV, HV and gas -commissioned-) is working
  fine
• working in ACR is so confortable compared to the
  cavern
• Still some work to do hardware side
• 3 GMS platform on chambers 1
• Temperature sensors to install before air cooling
  test
• and a few others things (another talk ?) to do
  with extreme care !!
• Still more work to do DAQ side
• we need to test 0-sup. and calibration runs
• use the ECS
• ? CROCUS code will be frozen and release
  sufficient for cosmic run.
