What is FedRooms?

• FedRooms is the official government-wide,
  government-sponsored lodging program, in support
  of the Presidents Management Agenda simplifying
  the lodging process for federal travelers and
  saving the government money
• FedRooms negotiates hotel rates on behalf of the
  federal government in markets where government
  travelers need to stay
• FedRooms is the US Government hotel program.

Why does FedRooms exist?

• The federal government (including the Department
  of Defense) spends more than 2 billion on
  lodging every year.
• FedRooms leverages overall buying power to
  negotiate the best hotel rates on behalf of the
  federal government. The program is available for
  all US federal and military employees.

• FedRooms was designed for all federal employees.
  
• FedRooms is available to all federal government
  employeesmilitary and civilianon official
  travel
• Who can use the FedRooms Rate?
• Federal government employees can always use the
  FedRooms Rate when on official travel
• The FedRooms Rate can be used for federal
  travelers on leisure travel
• The FedRooms Rate can be used by federal
  travelers for small groups and meetings of up to
  25 people
• The FedRooms Rate can be used by government
  contractors and state employees on official
  travel
• Rates available at select FedRooms properties
  see advanced search at fedrooms.com.
• Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) states that
  federal government travelers must first consider
  FedRooms when making reservations for official
  business.

The FedRooms Rate guarantee

• Hotels held accountable to FedRooms Terms and
  Conditions
• Rates must be competitive and at or below
• Per diem
• Government rates
• Cancel policy 4pm day of arrival, or later
• No hidden costs or penalties are attached to the
  FedRooms rate
• Travelers will not be charged for early check-out

• Rate loading instructions distributed when
  property accepted or to NAM
• Rates loaded under XVU and must be identified as
  FedRooms
• FedRooms manages GDS viewership tables
• Properties in good standing will be rolled over
  into future so future availability can be
  indefinite as long as rates at or below per diem

• Hoteliers must handle seasonal agreements
• All properties must be noted in GDS as
  Government Fire Safety Approved
• No minimum stay or day of week restrictions
• Upgraded room types for upgrades must have zero
  availability if associated rate is above
  agreement

• Federal Government Travelers must always book
