2Anti-social behaviour is defined as any behaviour
causing harassment alarm or distress to one or
more persons not of the same household.
What exactly is anti-social behaviour?
The British Crime Survey (BCS) and Communities
and Local Government Place Survey measure
perceptions under seven strands Teenagers
hanging around on the streets People using or
dealing drugs People being drunk or rowdy in
public places Noisy neighbours/loud
parties Rubbish or litter lying around Vandalism,
graffiti and other deliberate damage to
property Abandoned or burnt out cars

9Action in priority areas
- Assessment and analysis of the current
problems and - agree a local action Plan
- work in partnership to unblock barriers to
delivery including by deployment of the Squad and
the creation of ASB panels - provide access to a menu of interventions to
assist local communities tackle ASB - ensure areas have reliable ASB perception data
to monitor and evaluate progress
10ASBO breaches
- Strengthening Anti Social Behaviour Order
breaches - Undertaking a review with all Local Criminal
Justice Boards to assess how Breaches are being
dealt with and if more needs to be done.
11Developing case management systems
- Looking to develop multi agency case management
systems which will identify risk and vulnerability
