What is the shipping tool?

• An online tool to mail out books and other
  materials

• A joint project between Canada Post and the
  Canadian Library Association

Why are we using the shipping tool?

• Last year, the government was eager to abolish
  Canada Posts discount library book rate
• But because of the outcry from librarians, the
  program was extended by another year
• By using this tool, we can help provide critical
  data to keep the library book rate
