• My name is Michelle Powers. I am DSU Alumni and
  am currently looking to complete my Masters in
  Information Systems. One of my life goals is to
  obtain a Ph.D. so I figured I better get started
  because it is going to take me a while.

• I am married and my husbands name is Chad
  Powers. We have been married for just over 7
  years. We have a Dairy farm near Woodstock, MN.

• Recently we bought a larger home to accommodate
  our growing family and are learning about the
  joys of owning an 85 year old house.

• Austin Michael Powers was born September 1st,
  1997. Truly we picked out his name before the
  movie. Austin was my maiden name and Michael is
  my husbands middle name. We just had the good
  fortune to have a last name of Powers.

• Lauren Michelle Powers was born January 29, 2001.
  She sleeps through the night, rarely cries and
  is starting to cut teeth. The week she was born
  was one of the worst snow storm weeks the entire
  winter.

• I currently work for Schwans Sales Enterprises
  in Marshall, MN. Schwans is most known for Ice
  Cream and our little yellow trucks, but another
  little known fact is we are also one of the
  largest manufacturers of Frozen Pizza. Brands
  you are most familiar with would be Red Baron and

• Next to my family, other interests include our
  pets. We have 4 dogs, Melody - a German
  Shepard/Husky cross, Si - a purebred Siberian

Husky, Bro -- a purebred Border Collie and Sport
-- a Collie/Blue Heeler Cross. We also have 4
fish and an occasional stray farm cat or two.

• Beyond family and work, there is little time for
  anything else. However, I do manage to sneek in
  a good book or a movie once in a while. I really
  enjoy Science Fiction and Fantasy Fiction.

• I love to read, mostly Fantasy Fiction, but I
  also enjoy a good Mystery. My favorite authors
  are Anne McCaffery, John Grisham, and Piers
  Anthony.
