The Medias Role in the Marketing of the Dynamo
AWRT is proud to announce our September luncheon
speaker, Oliver Luck, president of Houstons own
Major League Soccer Team, The Houston Dynamo..
Luck is a familiar name to Houstonians. A recor
d setting quarterback at W. Virginia University,
he was selected in the second round of the NFL
draft in 1982 by the Houston Oilers and played
five seasons with the club. He graduated with
highest honors from WVU, and is a member of Phi
Beta Kappa. He was recently named to the
Academic All-American Hall of Fame.
Prior to joining the Dynamo, Luck was the CEO o
f the Harris County-Houston Sports Authority. He
also served as VP and CEO of NFL Europe for 10
years.
