Lesson Objective
Students will be required to research either
George Washington or Abraham Lincoln. Using a
Venn Diagram, students will compare and contrast
the two presidents. Students will then use the
information from the Venn Diagram to create a
report comparing and contrasting George

• Fill in your scavenger hunt sheet using the
  links to your president.
• With your partner, complete the Venn Diagram.
  You must include at least 5 ways they are alike
  and at least 5 ways they are different.
• Using your Venn Diagram and working with your
  partner, write a report comparing and contrasting
  Washington and Lincoln.

Lesson Summary Students will participate in an
inquiry based lesson. They will be required to
fill in a scavenger hunt about an assigned
president. Once the scavenger hunt is complete,
students will use a Venn Diagram to compare and
contrast presidents. They will then use the Venn
Diagram to write a report.
