Proclamation
The City of Balmorhea declares April 19, 2008
as The city recognizes the dedication and
hard work of these students in the completion of
the state recommended course of study. The
Community and City of Balmorhea congratulates and
wishes a bright future to all the Graduating
Seniors of 2008.

RODNEY FUENTEZ
My name is Rodney Fuentez. My parents are Norma
Rodriguez and Julian Fuentez. Im the youngest of
five children. I have one brother Jacob Mendoza
and three sisters Amanda Mendoza, Tammy Mendoza,
and Vianca Mendoza. Ive participated in Business
Professionals of America, Football, Basketball,
Track, National Honor Society, and Upward Bound
in Sul Ross Arlington. I plan on attending the
University of Texas at Arlington in the Fall and
majoring in Computer Science.

JAMES RUSSELL GARLICK
My name is James Russell Garlick son of James and
Gina Garlick. I participated in football and
basketball for four years and track for three
years. I also participated in high school rodeo
for three years and one act play for two years.
I am planning on attending Tarelton State
University in Stephenville, TX. I am going to
major in wildlife management and become a Game
Warden

SARAH LUJAN
I, Sarah Lujan, am the daughter of Ruben R.
Salcido, Jr. and Candida A. Salcido. I have one
brother and two sisters, Grabiel Salcido,
Victoria Salcido, Abby Salcido. I am the mother
of Robert N. Vasquez, Jr. Within my high school
years, I have played volleyball and basketball
for three years. I also participated in
powerlifting for one year. Other activities that
I am involved in is FFA, NHS, and UIL. After
finishing high school, I plan to attend Sul Ross
State University and obtain a degree in
Interdisciplinary Studies with emphasis in Math.

SAVANNA MACHUCA
I am the daughter of Samuel and Viola Machuca. I
have two siblings, Justin Machuca and Brandi
Machuca. I have involved myself in
extracurricular activities including cheerleading
and volleyball. I believe strongly in my
thoughts and opinions, and hope to reach my
goals in life. My future plans are to attend
college in Midland and major in Cosmetology.
With my education that I receive, I hope to open
my own business and become a well-known makeup
artist.

MEGAN GABRIELLE MENDOZA
My name is Megan Mendoza I am a senior at
Balmorhea High School. My Parents are Martin and
Margo Mendoza I have two sisters and one
brother. I participated in Volleyball,
Basketball, Track, Tennis, Cross Country, and
Cheerleading. I guess you can say I love sports.
I was in One-act play and History fair. My
plans are to attend Midland college to become an

MIGUEL VASQUEZ
NAME Miguel Vasquez PARENT Benito
Vasquez FAMILY Fernando, Diego, and Sergio are
my brothers. My grandma is Virgina Vasquez. My
son is Christopher Angel Cook FUTURE PLANS Go to
college to become a certified welder. I would
then like to attend an Automotive Technician
School to become a Mechanic.
