The Procurement Assistance Center (PTAC) Program

• Established by Congress in 1986 to assist
  businesses in obtaining Federal, State and local
  government contracts. Sponsored by the Department
  of Defense (DoD) through the Defense Logistics
  Agency (DLA).
• 93 PTACs located in the United States. 4 Based in
  Virginia.
• Crater Procurement Assistance Center, Petersburg
  with extension office at Old Dominion University.
  Covers this region as well as VA Beach, Norfolk,
  Hampton and Newport News areas. Crater PTAC was
  one of the 20 original PTACs established in 1986.
• Host Organization for the Crater PTAC is the
  Crater Planning District Commission with Dennis
  Morris as the Executive Director.

  Bonding, Cost and Pricing.
• Working directly with Army Corps of Engineers,
  Fort Lee personnel and Primes.
