  • They brake down dead tissue of plants and animals
  • They are parasites
  • They have a fluid filled body cavity
  • They infect humans

  • Sponges are the simplest animals.
  • Most sponges have a skeleton made of needlelike
    splinters called spicules.
  • Sponges belong in the phylum porifera class.
  • Sponges can not make their own food.
  • Sponges can replace their own body parts.

  • 3 classes Jellyfish, Corals, Sea Anemones
  • Comes in two forms, the medusa and the polyp

  • Flatworms have eye-spots but cant focus
  • They find their way by sensing the direction the
    light is coming from
  • Flatworms have two bumps on their heads that they
    use to food
  • Flatworms are divided into three groups
    planarians, flukes, and tapeworms.

  • Adults have radial symmetry
  • Live on sea floor
  • Has an endoskeleton
  • Classes are sea stars, basket stars, sea
    urchins, sand dollars
