  • HR is a support activity involving business
    activities associated with employee management
    (hiring, interview scheduling, payroll benefits
    management)
  • All primary activities (inbound/outbound
    logistics, ops management, marketing sales,
    and customer service) cannot be accomplished
    without employees to perform them
  • Therefore all primary activities use the human
    resources business activity

What does this mean?
  • We propose a system that will receive requests
    from all FAGs regarding hiring and training.
  • If a FAG needs to hire a new employee with
    certain credentials, we will post this job and
    accurately find candidates who meet the
    specifications.

What will this system allow us to do?

  • Informating Allow us to do things better by
    allowing us to automate a business process and
    also to improve the day-to-day activities.
  • Strategy By finding the right employees we can
    ensure that we support our strategy to have the
    best product on the market.

Our 2 Pieces of Software
  • 1 HireSpider and 2 Enterprise 5.0
  • After using petPROs TET we analyzed Phase 1
    Core Requirements and Phase 2 Rating
    Requirements on a numerical scale. If the
    question was a yes or no question, a Y would
    get a value of 1 and N would get a value of 0.
  • Then for the second part if the ranking was 4 or
    5 the software got a value of 2, but if the
    ranking was 3 or below it received a value of -2.

  • We also included the number of years the company
    has been around as a positive value.
  • After analyzing this data we got a value of 19
    for HireSpider and a value of 22 for Enterprise.
  • Then we did a cost analysis to compare the prices
    of both products.
  • HireSpider is considerably cheaper, and can vary
    depending on how many candidates and users we
    plan to have. However, Enterprise has a starting
    rate if 100,000 per year.

  • After looking at the two analyses we believe that
    HireSpider would be the best system for petPRO to
    implement
  • It is a lot cheapertherefore very cost effective
    allowing petPRO to implement a larger variety of
    technology.
  • HireSpider is an entirely web-based hiring and
    applicant management system and all users will
    have to have user names and passwords to acces
    the information. Therefore it is very secure for
    only those who are responsible for hiring (HR
    Managers, SMG, and CEO if necessary)

    into a high-powered, interactive recruiting tool.
    With HireSpider your website will manage job
    requisitions from your hiring managers and allow
    interested candidates to apply online.

Advantage
  • The System itself will not give us a competitive
    advantage.
  • However, without it we can not gain the people
    that will give us the competitive advantage.
  • These employees will be the ones that are able to
    give petPRO the competitive advantage

In conclusion
  • We believe that HireSpider is the best software
    to suit petPROs needs.
  • This is not to say that Enterprise is a terrible
    product but it does cost 100,000!
  • HireSpider will enable us to find the best
    candidates for hire and it will also highlight
    any gaps which may be filled through promotion
    and training.
