Control Panel

• Orient and align tools
• Ensures that the touch feature of the SmartBoard
  is lined up correctly.
• Pen settings
• Allows you to change the colors and thicknesses
  of SmartBoard markers.

Start Center

• Magnifier
• Magnifies one are of the screen for increased
  visibility
• Screen Shade
• Hides parts of the screen, while allowing you to
  choose what to show.
• Smart Keyboard
• Utility that allows students/teachers to type
  directly from the board
• Spotlight
• Highlights/emphasizes one area of the board that
  you choose.

Floating Tools

• Area Capture
• A camera icon that allows you to capture anything
  on your screen and take it to Smart Notebook to
  manipulate.
• Pen
• Same pen utility, only you can use your finger or
  your mouse.
• Highlighter
• Allows you to literally highlight information in
  Smart Notebook and other applications.
• Eraser
• Right Click

• The gallery is a great resource for all content
  areas and can be accessed, manipulated, and saved
  for future use with students.
• The only way to really know what is in the
  gallery is to take a little time and peruse
  through the information and things contained in
  it.
