Project Overview
  • My project is to develop a website for
Auburns Women in Computing group. Currently,
they do not have a website, so the purpose of
this project is to provide the group a web
presence. This website will contain information
on the groups upcoming events, biographies and
contact information of the members, links to
relevant websites, and pictures of the groups
    past activities.

Task Scenario 1
  • Soon-to-be high school graduate, Jane, is
looking for a college to attend. She is
interested in computers and wants to learn more
about the field. She uses her favorite search
engine and discovers Auburns Women in Computing
website. From here, she finds links about the
computer field, bios of women in the Auburn
Computer Science department, and reads through
the activities offered by the Women in Computing
group. Jane is interested in learning more and
contacts the Women in Computing president for
    more information.

Task Scenario 2
  • Auburn Freshman, Erica, is taking a computer
programming class. She is really enjoying it and
would like to learn more about career
opportunities related to computers. She sees a
flyer posted about Auburns Women in Computing
group. She visits the website listed on the
flyer and reads about upcoming activities. She
reads the bios and decides to stop by the Women
in Computing advisors office to learn more about
    the group.
