Phase 3
  • Now your group will use what youve learned and
a lot of creativity to come up with a time
period workout. See your teacher to find out
which time period youll use. Write up a
20-minute workout. What activities will be done,
and what equipment will be used? Be ready to
teach at least one of the activities to the class
and make sure you bring in at least one sample
piece of equipment that would be used. (You may
have to make one). The more creative, the
    better!!!

Phase 4
  • Now its time to put all the pieces together!
Have a group discussion and share what you have
learned so far. Consider the following topics.
  • Look up the word sedentary. Did you notice any
trends in lifestyle changes over the years?
  • Why do you think physical education gained so
much support in America when it did?
  • If we compared scores today, how do you think
American youth would stand up to the rest of the
    world?

Conclusion
  • Now you get to make an educated decision and
voice your opinion. As a group, decide whether
or not you think physical education is an
important part of schooling in America today.
  • Develop a list of facts and reasons that
support your decision. Be prepared to defend
your groups decision in a class debate.
