  • Deaf leaders responded with many of the same
    issues as the Black consumers in focus group and
    the one-on-one interviews
  • More need for interpreters

Implications for Black Consumers
  • Black Deaf Consumers feel that they are being
    left behind, especially in terms of jobs and
    education.
  • Black Deaf consumers often feel that they are not
    being heard and that they are not getting the
    services that they want.
