A section break allows you to create a different
number of columns in different sections of a
document.

Headers and footers add information that can
be helpful in longer documents.

In multiple page documents, readers often
appreciate landmarks that tell them the current
page, the date that you created the document, or
other facts about the document. In extremely long
documents, a reminder of the documents name or
the sections title can be helpful. You can enter
text or graphics in a header or footer to
identify the contents of each printed page in
multiple-page printouts. A header automatically
displays specified text or graphics at the top of
every page. A footer automatically displays
specific text or graphics at the bottom of every
page.
