The Term Project

• In this project, you should design a
  concurrent control system of your own. The design
  should follow the model-based approach taught in
  the class develop FSP, check its properties by
  LTSA analyzer, and then implement your design
  using Java.
• Any original theme is accepted. A sample
  design is illustrated in this website.

Sample Theme Room Temperature controller

• Consider a room control station that measures
  and displays the current temperature. The desired
  room temperature can be preset by a dial. If the
  current reading is lower (higher) than the
  desired setting by more than t degrees, then the
  station can activate (halt) the heater
  accordingly. Suppose that the room temperature
  will drop slowly if no heating provided as in the
  winter time. The completed report and the demo
  for the design are given!

The Details of the Project

• 1. Outline the design structure of the room
  control station.
• 2. Provide the detailed definition for each
  process.
• 3. Check the appropriate safety and progress
  properties.
• 4. Provide the Java implementation for a
  simulation of the room control station.
• 5. Write a short report for your work.
