Battle of Adowa(1896)
The first Ethiopian-Italian war. The invading
Italians suffered huge losses in the hands of
Emperor Meneliks troops. The Italians attempt
to take over Ethiopia failed miserably. This
battle ensured that Ethiopia would never be
colonised.

Koitalel Arap Samoei led the Nandi people of
