• Here today to launch Anti Bullying campaign
• The first step is getting employers to recognise
  this as an issue
• Rife in the public sector

DET Survey

• 69 of employees had experienced harassment in
  the workplace.
• Over 60 were harassed across all sized
  workplaces
• over 80 of over 50s were bullied at work
• I was to be seen, but not heard

Survey results

• Survey showed staff bullied as much as managers
• Staff bullied by co workers as much as management
• Bullying will not be tolerated

Bullying is cowardice

• Bullies are Spineless
• Bullying is a real workplace safety issue
• Not necessarily about a boss bullying a worker
  but about Respect and Dignity in the workplace.
• PSA encourages employers to sign up to the
  Dignity and Respect Charter

• Work in partnership with management
• DET Anti Bullying Committee in place
• Provision of OHS training courses
• Need for proper training and support for
  management
