  wash your faces and your hands as far as the
  elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the
  ankles

About Wudu

• Definition of Wudu
• The word Wudu can be pronounced 3 different ways
• Wadu (fatha) Water used for Wudu
• Wudu (dhamma) To perform Wudu
• Widu (kasra) Containers used to hold the Wadu

Benefits of Wudu

• We can pray. Prayer is a huge blessing because
  its personal direct communication with Allah
• Able to hold the Quran.
• Book in a museum vs. Book of Allah
• Every so often you refresh yourself with the
  water

Virtues of Wudu (1)

• Fulfilling the command of Allah.
• Uthman ibn Affan famous hadith (Muslim, Vol. 1,
  p. 36)

Wudu When Waking Up

• When you sleep, Shaytan puts 3 knots on you????
  ??? ???? The night is long, keep sleeping
• Makes dhikr of Allah 1st knot is open
• Performs Wudu 2nd knot is open
• Prays 3rd knot is open
• He will be active and happy for the rest of the
  day

Virtues of Wudu (2)

• Hamran narrates I brought water for wudu to
  Uthman (R). He performed wudu and then he said I
  saw the Prophet (S) performing wudu, he performed
  the wudu exactly the way I did it. Then Prophet
  (S) said Whoever performs wudu like this, his
  sins will be forgiven
• His salah and going to the masjid is nafl Going
  to the masjid is simply extra.

Wudu in the Hereafter

• On the Day of Judgment, all the limbs that were
  cleaned during wudu will shine. This is how the
  Prophet (S) will recognize his Ummah.
