- Improving communication between NCSA front office
and member teams - Assisting new teams with getting started
- Assisting current teams with improving their off
field operations - Recruiting new teams to become members of the NCSA
11- Rule Changes
- At last years NCSA Annual Meeting, teams proposed
the following changes - Lower the number of new game balls required at
the start of each game from 2 to 1 (Vote
Approved) - Implementation of a Slaughter Rule for all NCSA
regular season games (Vote Approved) - Implementation of the Mercy Rule to include
World Series play in addition to all regular
season games (Vote Approved) - Beginning Conference play in the fall and
carrying over in to the spring (Vote Approved) - Changing the roster freeze deadline from April
15th to April 1st (Vote Approved) - Allowing players from one school to compete on
the team from another school if their school
doesnt have a team (Vote Denied) - NCSA Front Office created a voting ballot
featuring all team comments. - All NCSA member teams were given the opportunity
to vote on each of the proposed rule changes. - The results of this vote altered the proposed
rules, thus creating the 2008 NCSA Official Rules.
12- Spring Training
- 2008-Successful first year of event
- Held in Plant City, Florida
- 4 participating teams (Georgia, Pittsburgh,
Wyoming, Central Florida) - 14 total games
- Positive response from teams
- It provided an opportunity for us to not only
play in great weather, but also gave us a chance
to grow closer as a team through activities such
as Disney World, the beach, and spring training

- Grew from 12 Conferences in 2007 to 14 in 2008
- Maintained the 3 game series philosophy
- Conferences of 4 or more rotate home/away series

the spring
