• Has the tenure or promotion process been
  followed?
• Processes covering bargaining unit members are
  described in MOA
• Processes covering non-members are described in
  Faculty Handbook

Second format review

• Does the candidates file conform to the format
  specified in MOA or FH?

Third general consideration(obvious)

• Do we see evidence of either excellence or
  progress toward excellence in instruction,
  scholarly activity, and service?
• Importance of departmental standards and
  departmental interpretation of standards

Fourth special consideration

• How has the candidate responded to previous
  reviews?
• Are there new areas of concern coming to the fore
  in this years review?

Fifth the future

• to have the proper qualifications and when it
  is in the long-term interest of the university
  (source FH Ch 3, Part V.A and MOA, Art. XIV)

• More emphasis upon scholarship
• Assistant to Associate noteworthy contribution
  and definite potential
• Associate to full proven masters of their
