Retention and Student Success
  • Fall 2007 cohort of 3,233
  • 498 (15.4) were on probation after their first
    semester (lt1.5 GPA)
  • 163 (32.7) of these students did not return to
    BGSU Spring 2008
  • 324 (65) did not return for Fall 2008

Student Success
In Fall 2007, 51 of students enrolled in Math
112 earned a C or higher
  • Math Lab online homework is offered through the
    textbook publisher in Math 112 to provide
    immediate feedback to students on homework as
    well as learning assessments to instructors
  • All Math 112 AND 122 sections will be using My
    Lab online this spring
  • Academic Success programs recruit for
    participation. Can we create greater levels of
    seamless early intervention with the Study
    Skills, Math and Stats Tutoring and Writing
    Centers?
  • Focus group data indicate that our students are
    not aware of learning outcomes
