4Phase I/Pre-STEP Admission Requirements
- Admission to a Community College
- Attend Pre-STEP Advisement Workshop
- Submit the Phase I/Pre-STEP registration form to
CCT Advisor - Pre-STEP includes specific classes for some
general education requirements and for the major.

6Phase II/STEP Admission Requirements
- Completion of 60 units of specified Phase
I/Pre-STEP coursework - Earned a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Passing CBEST score
- Completed early fieldwork requirement
- Submit the Phase II/STEP application form to CCT
(Available from CCT Field Advisor)

8Phase III/STEP Credential Admission
Requirements
- Completion of 36 units of specified
Phase II/STEP coursework - Earned a GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Attended a Credential program overview
- Seen major advisor (at least once per academic
year) - Passage of the EWP
- Filed Graduation check at completion of 90 units
- Completed application to Phase III/STEP-Credential
- In Phase III/STEP Credential students finish
major classes and begin coursework in the single
subject credential program
