The context of its creation

Organisation by the Ministry of Woman and Family
Affairs, in collaboration with the Tunis Faculty
of Sciences and under the aegis of UNESCO, of the
international colloquium on "Women, sciences and
technology" in November 1997.

The main recommendation the creation of a
Tunisian organization about Women and Sciences as
a network for women scientists, with a view to
increase the participation of women in Science,
technology, Research and Decision making.

- Making known the women participation to the
edification of scientific and technologic
knowledge.

• Encouraging the female capacities to take part
  in scientific and technologic progress and to the
  development of research.

- Enhancing the integration of the girls in the
scientific and technical sectors where they are
underepresented and all the fields of scientific
research.
- Contributing to the diffusion of scientific and
technologic knowledge and to the popularization
of sciences.
