- Who can apply?
- K12 schools in the United States or Canada with
which the Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia (MEC)
has signed a Program of Cooperation. - How?
- Completion and submission of the application
forms. - Positive assessment.
- Incorporation of the International Spanish
Academy (ISA) into the network
3Application FORM
4Applicationsshould include the following
information
- students who will participate in the program
- staffing requirements
- teacher training
- program objectives
- curriculum
- plan for the evaluation of students and the
program - administrative support
- support from the Ministry of Education and
Science of Spain - plan for the implementation of the program
- School current and historical ratings and
rankings.
5Applications
- Curriculum
- The following should be specified for each grade
- content areas that are taught in Spanish and/or
English - specific components of the Spanish language and
cultures of Spanish-speaking countries - plans for the teaching of Spanish as a world
language - materials used.
6Assessment
- Each ISA will provide a report and an activities
memo at the end of the school year that provide
proof they have reached all established
objectives and fullfilled the planned
requirements in the cooperation agreement. - This document will be evaluated by the MEC
(Ministry of Education and Science) through the
Spanish Education Office in Washington DC.
