• To 8 conferences with a total attendance
  estimated at 3600 attendees
• To 4 chapters or chapters in formation

Membership kits include CDs, a DVD, fliers, CICC
01 Proceeding, SSCSTC fliers, posters, Sample
Pubs, Senior Member Kits, IEEE Catalog, Gold
fliers, and a SSCS stand-up sign.

• Survey is in progress and nearly complete
• 2002 Support Growth through Activities
• Would like to fund 50 scholarship to Confs in
  return for nearby chapters working membership
  booth. Up to 10K.
• 2-3 for ISSCC, CICC, ESIRC, VLSI S.
• Senior Member Growth.
• Form a (Real) committee.
• 3 members from Adcom
• 3 from chapters.

• more "european activities

• more learning material like tutorials on latest
  technologies
• (for lt) publish more tutorials on CDROM

• internet / online tutorials - not only for
  experts but for beginners
• More email about what is happening in the SSCS
• Don't send paper journals
• more activities over calendar year and over
  regions, offering tutorials on-line or in CDs
• ISSCC should not always be in San Francisco. It
  should also be held in other locations (East
  coast on Odd years)
• More tutorial style papers in JSSC
• Faster publication
• for the micro-processor sessions, ISSCC has
  lowered the quality bar
• Compile and publish "the greatest hits" every
  three or so years
• a local chapter in Sonoma County, CA (Telecom
  focus)
