Introduction
What is espace?

• espace is a learning management system (LMS)
  incorporating tools to design, author and manage
  all aspects of the online e-learning environment.
  
• It provides
• A secure web environment
• Online Collaboration
• Online Courses
• Professional Learning Communities.
• espace is structured into
• A General espace site
• Cluster espace sites
• Individual espace sites.
• (espace uses Janison LMS)

espace Structure
 General espace Site (Can be accessed by all
users with ntschools accounts.) General eSpace is
where all Public courses (open to anyone in the
NT Education Community), individual courses or
online environments that are cross divisional,
cross schools or cross clusters will be housed
and available. My Cluster espace Site (All
ntschools users are in one of the cluster espace
sites.) Within this environment users are able to
collaborate and create online learning
communities and online courses within their own
clusters which are shared. Primary schools can
have their own private site within this site. My
School espace Site (Accessed by High Schools,
Distance Ed, Group Schools)Access for schools
that have established their own online learning
communities and online courses which is secure
within own site.

Accessing espace in the ntschools environment
You can access the general espace site through
the ntschools portal under the resource tab.
Alternatively the portal administrator from your
school can provide a URL link on your own
individual portal site to the general espace,
your cluster espace and to your individual
espace site if it applies to your
school. Logging onto espace ntschools Account
Users   When you are logging in from a school
computer connected to the ntschools network you
need to open up Internet Explorer and type in
http//espace.ntschools .net A pop up window
will appear for you to put in your ntschools user
name and password. Then click ok.

Accessing espace in the ntschools environment
Note If you dont have a ntschools account you
need to click the cancel button to go to the
espace log in screen
 If you do not have a ntschools account but have
accessed espace previously you need to click on
the cancel button and it will take you to the
espace log on screen. Log on as normal.

Accessing espace in the new environment
You can access espace through the URL
http//espace.ntschools.net
If you are wanting to access your cluster or own
individual site you will need to type in the URL
for your site. Examples General espace
