Adding and Subtracting Fractions

• When adding and subtracting fractions, we must
  first make sure they have a common denominator.
  The bottom number is called the denominator and
  the top number is called the numerator. To find
  a common denominator, we find a common factor
  between the current denominators and multiply the
  numerator by the factor to make them equal.
