Rescue Breathing Adult

• If the victim shows signs of circulation but is
  NOT breathing
• Head tilt chin lift pinch the nose
• Take a breath and make a complete seal over the
  mouth
• Blow in mouth to make chest rise 1 breath every 5
  seconds
• Tip Each rescue breath should last 1 second

• If breaths go in
• More rescue breathing
• If breaths do not go in
• Re-tilt and try breaths again

Jaw Thrust Rescue Breathing Adult

• If you suspect a head, neck or back injury
• Open the airway by using the jaw thrust maneuver

• Tip Children are small dont tip the head back
  as far.

• Blow in mouth to make chest rise 1 breath every 3
  seconds
• Tip Only a small puff of air is needed for and
  infant.
