SCAS Process
  • Existing members of school and Team Around the
    Child (TAC) join SCAS (SENCo/teacher, EP, SaLT)
    for the SCAS assessment
  • Paediatric assessment
  • Autism-specific assessments used (ADI-R and ADOS)
    plus assessment of other needs if appropriate
    (sensory, mental health)
  • TAC discussion of assessment findings
  • Feedback to parents (plus two follow ups)
  • Feedback to network
