Static IP Address for Laptop
Configure a static IP address for your laptop.
See Exercise 1 in your lab book for complete

Installing the Software

• Go to the PBX Software folder on the USB, or go
  to http//wiki.snomone.com and click Downloads.
• Click the appropriate link (32 or 64 bit).
• Double-click the setup.exe file and install the
  software.
• If you are installing snom ONE yellow or snom ONE
  blue, the setup.exe file is located on the USB
  stick in the snomone/windows folder.

Verifying the Installation
Enter localhost into a web browser.

Using Windows ServiceControl Manager

1. Click Start.
2. Right-click Computer.
3. Click Manage.
4. Double-click Services and Applications.
5. Double-click Services.
6. Ensure system exists and is started.

pbx_startup_err.txt Tells why the system did
not come up the last time an attempt was made.

Licensing the Product

1. Click Admin gt Settings gt License, then choose the
   appropriate option.
2. Enter the product activation code or license key.

Cancelling SIP Multicast
Domains and Aliases
To simplify interacting with other students
networks in the classroom environment, multicast
must be turned off.

1. Go to Admin gt Settings.
2. Set Listen to sip.mcast.net to No.
3. Click Save.

Upgrading the Software

1. Navigate to Admin gt Status of the PBX and
   determine the working directory and version
   number of the current software.
2. Make a backup of the existing version. This step
   can be done while the PBX is running.
3. Download the new executable, and copy it to the
   working directory.
4. Rename the new file.
