PROJECT GENERAL OBJECTIVES

• The general object of Hydro.NET project is the
  creation of a cross border system for the
  monitoring and prevention of the hydraulic and
  hydrogeological risk, in order to assure
• the realization, at local/territorial level, of
  initiatives - inspired by a common and shared
  cross-border methodology - for the prevention and
  prevision of the hydraulic and hydrogeological
  risk
• the definition of a information system in order
  to provide (at local level) always updated
  information on the undertaken risk management
  activities and data during the weather hazards
  and guarantee (at cross-border level) the
  information exchange and the set up of a
  early-warning system in the Low Adriatic area.

PROJECT SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

• the settlement of common cross-border approaches
  in planning initiatives towards the hydraulic and
  hydrogeological risk management through the
  editing of a Cross-border Document of good
  practices on the Prevention, Prevision and Fight
  against the hydraulic and hydrogeological risk

• the creation of a networking system composed by
  one Cross-border Observatory on the hydraulic and
  hydrogeological risk and TWO Territorial Antennas
  located in the project territories

• the coordination of the several risks prevention
  and prevision local tools by a network of
  information exchange constantly updated at
  territorial level

• strengthening of a territorial information supply
  system involving all the local operators who, on
  different claims, participate in the management
  of the different risk phases

• drafting proposal for a cross-border
  early-warning system of the Low Adriatic Sea

• the involvement of the local populations and
  stakeholders in order to improve the awareness
  and consciousness on the topics of the hydraulic
  and hydrogeological risk and about the active
  role the people can play to face the hazards

• General contents
• Establishment of a pool of experts appointed by
  each project partners with the aim to draft a
  one Cross-border document of good practices on
  the Prevention, Prevision and Fight against the
  hydraulic and hydrogeological risk. This
  document will contain topics about a common and
  shared method to determine
• some steps and good practices (to be implemented
  at local level) in the phases of prevention and
  prevision of the hydraulic and hydrogeological
  risk management
• the subject to be appointed for implementing on
  the project territories these identified steps.
• how to implement the good practices in the
  already existing local/territorial Plan of risk
  management
• other outstanding issues

WP2 - Creation of one Cross-border Observatory on
the hydraulic and hydrogeological risk.

• General contents
• This WP foresees the creation of one
  Cross-border Observatory on the hydraulic and
  hydrogeological risk, which should represent
• the interface between the guidelines drafted into
  the Document and the Territorial Antennas (see
  WP3) which will implement on the territory the
  prevention and prevision good practices
• the crossroad of the network system among the
  Territorial Antennas and information database on
  the prevention and operative solution adopted by
  each antennas in the context of risk management
  activities
• the drafting of a proposal for a early-warning
  system in the Low Adriatic Sea area with the task
  to spread updated information and data in case of
  weather alert and hazards

WP3 - Creation of territorial Antennas and good
practices implementation on target areas
General contents This WP aims to the creation
of 2 Territorial Antennas (GAL KTADA) and the
realization of outstanding Pilot Action on the
concerned territories. Promotion at local level.
ROLE OF TERRITORIAL ANTENNAS Providing
information on the state of interventions and
alarm/emergency situations at two levels at
vertical level (coordination and information
supply with the Cross-border Observatory) at
horizontal level (coordination and information
supply with the local administration and
emergency corps, etc)
SCOPE OF PILOT ACTIONS Application at territorial
level of the methodology and good practices
defined at crossborder level realization of
representative and high-value interventions to be
spread out to improve skills in hydrogeological
management of the territory

the management of urban and extra-urban dreinage
network in a outstanding and high criticity
target area

model for the management of the systems for waste
water reuse
3) Consortium Torreguaceto Pilot study and
monitoring of the hydrogeologic characteristics
of the land in the activities of stratum drowing
4) University Ioannina Researches and monitoring
in dreinage basin to highligh the relationship
between basin surface pollution and hydrogeologic
structure
5) Development Agency of KTADA Researches and
monitoring of the chemical composition of the
Achaia sea basin as preliminary step to carry out
coastal areas management plans

WP5 Project Management
General contents WP5 regards activities of
technical, administrative, financial management
and project reporting / monitoring. The project
is guided by one Cross-border Steering Committee,
where each partner is represented, whit the task
to take the strategic decision to steer the
project. It is also foreseen a Technical
Secretariat supporting the whole partnership and
in head to the Lead Partner GAL Terra dei Messapi
